The feeling of having daily inspiration in your life is an awesome feeling!
I remember back when I didn’t know about goal setting, self development, achieving and basically the whole success-movement that has been going on…
It was like going through the world with little or no meaning, no solid core within myself that I can fall back when the world seems to change endlessly. I had the feeling of something was missing – though I couldn’t figure why! Now I know that my awareness of myself and others wasn’t as developed as it is now. And as I look back over the past several years I notice something that has happened to me as with every other successful person that I know of – that is the decision making that takes place when you hit rock-bottom. Where you feel the most painful and have a feeling of total discontent with your current situation… And believe me I have been there and it is like no other place! But looking back on that time it has been both a curse and a blessing! In the sense that it had to happen in order for a change to take place – a change for the better. From that low-point I entered on a journey of seeking never ending daily inspiration! I try keep my head in this cloud of inspiring and motivational stuff like books, movies, audios and seminars all the time. All this stuff had a tremendous effect on me to reaching my goals and I want to share what I practice everyday and believe can change your life..!
Having daily inspiration through these 5 exercises
Morning ritual: This exercise is a very personal one. It can include your life goals, visualizing the best person you can be, physical exercises, reading your past accomplishments from a piece of paper… look basically what you find inspiring, though you should read your goals – if not out loud then at least to yourself every morning! This will help you to zoom in on your purpose and gives you more clarity in your day.
Meditation: This might be met with some scepticism but in its simplicity it’s just taking 15-20 minutes out of your schedule each day. The key here is to find a quiet place where you don’t get disturbed and sit down – close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Don’t let your thoughts run along. Just focus on breathing in… And breathing out… And try notice the gap between those two – that empty gap where the nothingness exists! By doing this you will not only be more relaxed but you will be more “present to the moment”.
Watch motivational movies/audios: This is an easy one – take time aside to enjoy a short motivational movie. May I recommend Youtube, they have endless amounts of inspiring movies to watch which will boost your daily motivation and it doesn’t take any effort to do. As well as listen to some audio which can be done in the car or while you work out. The benefit of this will depend on what you are exposed to. If it is of decent quality your state of mind will get pumped and you feel like taking on the whole world!
Read 1 hour a day: This is also simple. Get your hands on motivational and self development books and start reading till your brain is melting out of your ears… : ) I tend to do it before bed time. It makes me relax and think of new ideas as I lay in bed… (Remember to write your ideas down on paper as they pop up or they are lost in the morning… Hehe)
Bed ritual: Before I go to bed I recap what positive things that has happened that day and how the day could have been more effective in terms of doing business. This simple thing is what makes you improve that 1% each and every day. As time passes by you will not recognise where you were 3-6 months ago because you have improved so much.
I promise you if you exercise these easy steps of daily inspiration you will sky rock through the roof!
